Non-diver Scuba Adventure introduction to Scuba

Adventures run weekdays at 8 am and weekends at 7:00 a.m. Plan on at least three hours to turn around (complete) the Adventure. Of course, participants must absolutely know how to swim and be physically fit for this outstanding activity.

Do you certify that you have a BMI of 30 or less required to participate in this activity? If you BMI is higher than 30 please call our office before signing up for this activity.

Description

This is the perfect adventure for non diving persons wishing to experience Scuba Diving. Learn about basic scuba diving in a 45 minute lecture . Then don your scuba equipment for a 45 minute shallow water skill development session at Mission Point. You will learn eight basic SCUBA skills during your shallow water session. Then join your instructor for an actual dive to 20 feet deep at Mission Point. See the famous California state fish the Garibaldi and other fascinating critters of the deep. This adventure includes all necessary equipment wet suits and your instructor. Approximately 4 hours to complete. You should be physically fit for this outstanding activity. ABSOLUTELY MUST KNOW HOW TO SWIM. Participants must weigh at least 100 lbs and be 13 years of age or older, and not currently under a physicians care for diabetes, exercise induced asthma, heart disease, any form of epilepsy or chronic lung disease. You will not be allowed to participate if you have a cold, hay fever, active allergy, or sinus infection on the day of the Adventure. Your Body Mass Index must be 30 or less. People with body mass index (BMI) of 31 or higher cannot participate in the scuba adventure.
